Registering for school
New kindergartners

All other students new to ASD
Bring a copy of your child’s transcript and health record including immunizations to your new school. See our Health Services page for required immunizations. You can tell your current school that these records are for enrollment purposes only. After your children are enrolled here, the Anchorage school will contact the former school to have the official records sent directly from school to school.
Download registration forms here Proof of residency, such as a utility bill or phone bill, contract of purchase or lease agreement will be needed for students new to the district.
High school students who withdraw from their current school should re-register at a new school as soon as possible. The days between withdrawal and enrolling in ASD are counted as absences. High school attendance policies allow for a maximum number of excused and unexcused absences per semester — eight days at Bartlett, East, West and South and 15 days at Chugiak, Eagle River, Service and Dimond. If a student exceeds that amount, they can lose credit for their classes. Attendance is an important part of learning and students and families should be extremely aware of the attendance policies at the schools they choose.
